dear anon (just sent 2 part message),

i’m not sure about posting your message, it could be triggering to other substance-abusers. i wish you sent it off anon, or in a submit because i would love to talk to you personally but we can’t always get what we want.

by the way, i didn’t find your message offensive. don’t EVER compare your recovery to another persons. your struggles with drugs, self-harm… are indeed STRUGGLES. just because someone hit rock bottom to get better doesn’t mean you have to. you are lucky, you should be embracing recovery.. what you said ‘a proper addict’.. there is no such thing. an addict is an addict. and yes, you are an addict. you need to admit that to yourself. for that is the FIRST STEP. not being physically addicted to a drug doesn’t make you NOT addicted. you are addicted to the feeling of numb, thats how we all started. i seriously suggest you start going to meetings, even just sit in on one. they will help you and prove to you everything that i just stated. also, talking to a professional will help you. they will help you find new ways to cope with emotions and why you feel so in denial about your addiction. please get the proper help you need, i pray you do.

love,
