liberez-vous:

alright, so i’m going to share this poem thing i wrote for english. it has to do with my ED & it’s kind of inspired by marya hornbacher and a quote from wasted.

you step into the looking glass.
you fall into a lifeless world.
right is wrong and wrong is normality.
mirrors and math-your mind.
escaping it is impossible,
you wouldn’t want to even if you could.

you step into the looking glass.
shards of glass stick into your skin;
they leave scars,
scars you always have.
ready to open up at any moment-
a moment of weakness.

you step into the looking glass.
never realizing there’s no way out.
once you go in,
returning fully isn’t a reality.
even when you want to it’s too late;
you didn’t choose this battle,
but you’re stuck in a war that you’ll forever lose.

this is beautiful.
