What I relized is that I’d rather be sober, single with no friends than strung-out and be ‘popular’. I don’t need anyone but myself now. I don’t need fake friends approval. All the people I used with are out of my life for a very good reason. Including the boyfriend I was with for 2 and a half years. Screw em’ all!

article from hubpages.com

“The sun will rise tomorrow.
It always does.
And all the wishing in the world for the way things were, or for what they could have been, won’t change that.
It won’t change how things are.”

“Every day brings a choice: to practice stress or to practice peace.” ~Joan Borysenko
I had a terrible morning. I needed to make a short YouTube video to promote my therapy practice, and I thought it would take twenty minutes at the most.

rarheubottom asked: No worries. I just think when people who have some time in the program, act as if getting sober should look a certain way, it can deter the new comer. My sobriety date is August 14, 2011 and I have dove head first into AA and have been met with many women who tend to project an attitude like I have to prove myself before they will accept me. I just am in love with being sober and am actually happy...
